A ruthless South African team continued their domination of Pakistan, thrashing them by 164 and in the process setting various records in the first one-day international of the series at Centurion. Cricinfo looks at some of the highlights.

392 for 6 - South Africa's total, which is the seventh-highest ever in ODIs, and the highest at Centurion, beating the previous highest - 324 for 4 against New Zealand in October 2000 - quite handily. Interestingly, four of those seven totals have been scored in South Africa.
164 - The margin of victory, which is the highest for South Africa in ODIs against Pakistan.
164 - The margin of defeat for Pakistan, which is their third-highest in an ODI. Their most comprehensive defeat was by 224 runs against Australia at Nairobi in 2002, while England beat them by 198 runs at Nottingham in 1992. (Click here for the list of most comprehensive defeats by runs for Pakistan.)
11.50 - The 'economy' rate for Rana Naved-ul-Hasan, which is the worst by any Pakistan bowler who has bowled at least five overs in an ODI innings.
9.71 - Mohammad Sami's economy rate, which is the second-worst for Pakistan, beating Iftikhar Anjum's 56 runs in 5.5 overs against West Indies at Multan last year, which was the most expensive analysis for a Pakistan bowler before today's game.
28 - The number of runs Mohammad Asif conceded in an over, which is next only to Chris Harris and Aamer Sohail, who both conceded 30 to Sanath Jayasuriya, in ODIs. Graeme Smith had earlier creamed Naved for 27. Click here for a list of most runs scored in an over in ODIs.
53.09 - The average opening partnership between Graeme Smith and AB de Villiers. The 140 they added was their second century partnership in 11 innings.
