Uganda warming-up in South Africa

Uganda National Cricket Team will arrive in South Africa on 14 April 2004 to prepare for a three-day ICC Intercontinental Cup against Namibia in Windhoek, Namibia from 23 - 25 April 2004.
In South Africa, the Ugandans will play a One-Day match against an unnamed opposition and two 2-day matches against Lenasia Invitation XI and Soweto IX before travelling to Namibia on 22 April.
The itinerary is as follows:

14 April - Arrival in South Africa
16 April - One-Day match
17 and 18 April - 2-Day match v Lenasia invitation XI in Lenasia.
20 and 21 April - 2-Day match v Soweto XI in Soweto.
22 April - Leave for Namibia
23 - 25 April - 3-Day ICC Intercontinental Cup match against Namibia at Wanderers Stadium in Windhoek.
From Namibia, the next Intercontinental Cup assignment for the Ugandans will be a home tie to Kenya in Kampala from 23 - 25 July 2004. ICC Development Manager for Africa, Hoosain Ayob sees this as a significant step in the promotion of cricket on the continent.
"This is very important for the three African teams to compete. Hopefully, they will use their experience as a yardstick to measure their readiness for the 2007 World Cup in the West Indies."
Kenya will host Namibia in Nairobi from 01-03 October to complete the African leg of the Intercontinental Cup competition.
